Transforming Trauma

Psychodrama is an experiential therapeutic approach that integrates guided role-playing techniques, dramatic enactment, and spontaneous improvisation. It is effective because it renegotiates trauma while providing a sense of safety, control, creativity, fun, and empowerment in the process.

"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it."                                                                                                     Helen Keller

Psychodrama has been proven to:

  • Reduce effects of trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, or loss

  • Increase connectedness and strengthen interpersonal relationships

  • Improve confidence and self-esteem

  • Build self-awareness and encourage mindfulness

  • Satisfy creative needs

In this group/workshop, we will engage in a series of Psychodrama action based exercises to bring common themes, feelings, and thoughts safely forward to be explored. Using communication techniques, sharing, and collective awareness, we will create a supportive environment to build community, create support, and transform lives.
